Würfel auf dem Platz 

Mit der neuen Gestaltung des Hauptplatzes 1999 und der Edelstahl-Skulptur verband der Bildhauer Gottfried Höllwarth Kunst und Architektur. Die auskragende Plattform über den Ramsauer Bach dient als Bühne für Veranstaltungen. 

Die Skulptur ist Teil der Serie „X“ von Gottfried Höllwarth und stellt ein Andreaskreuz in einem Würfel dar. Symbolisch beschreibt das Kreuz eine Verbindung von Himmel und Erde. Das von unten nach oben durchstoßende Kreuz funktioniert wie eine Stütze, die den Würfel hebt. Umso weiter es durchstößt, umso schräger liegt er. Der Würfel wird dadurch vom statischen zum dynamischen Objekt. 

Da die Pfarrkirche von Hainfeld dem Hl. Andreas geweiht ist, steht das Andreaskreuz mit dem Ort eng in Beziehung. Das „X“ markiert auch einen wichtigen Kreuzungspunkt - das Zentrum von Hainfeld, mit all seinen wirtschaftlichen, kulturellen und sozialen Weglinien. 

Main Square:

Cube in the Square

With the redesign of the main square in 1999 and the stainless steel sculpture, sculptor Gottfried Höllwarth combined art and architecture. The cantilevered platform over the Ramsau stream serves as a stage for events.

The sculpture is part of Gottfried Höllwarth's "X" series and depicts a St. Andrew's Cross within a cube. Symbolically, the cross represents a connection between heaven and earth. The cross, piercing from bottom to top, functions like a support that lifts the cube. The further it penetrates, the more tilted it is. The cube thus transforms from a static to a dynamic object.

Since Hainfeld's parish church is dedicated to St. Andrew, the St. Andrew's Cross has a close connection with the town. The "X" also marks an important intersection point—the center of Hainfeld, with all its economic, cultural, and social pillars.
