Bahnhof Hainfeld:

Nach der Fertigstellung des Gerichtsbergtunnels wurde am 3. Oktober 1877 der Bahnhof Hainfeld der NÖ Südwestbahn eröffnet. Die ausführende Baufirma war Carlo Roncetti und die Bauleitung hatte Ing. Franz Rentmeister über.

In den ersten Jahren verkehrten zwei durchgehende Züge, die von Dampflokomotiven der Serie A1, der späteren kkStB-Lok 92, gezogen wurden.

Hainfeld wurde ein wichtiger Verkehrsknotenpunkt mit rund 300 Bahnbeschäftigten. Der Bahnhof hatte neben dem Aufnahmegebäude einen Materialschuppen mit Rampe, ein Heizhaus mit Drehbühne, eine Maschinenwerkstätte und bis 1931 eine eigene Heizhausleitung, sowie einen Gleisanschluss zur Hainfelder Gebirgsmolkerei. 

Zur 100-Jahr-Feier der NÖ Südwestbahn wurde 1977 das Lokomotiv-Denkmal der Lok 93.1364 neben dem Aufnahmegebäude aufgestellt. Diese Lokomotiv-Baureihe war für leichte Güterzugdienste und Personenverkehr im Einsatz. 2004 wurde die Streck von Weissenbach nach Hainfeld eingestellt und der Bahnhof umgebaut. Heute verkehren die Triebwägen der Reihe 5047 zwischen Hainfeld und St. Pölten. 

Hainfeld Railway-Station:

After the completion of the Gerichtsberg Tunnel, Hainfeld Station of the Lower Austrian Southwest Railway was opened on October 3, 1877. The construction company was Carlo Roncetti, and the construction manager was Franz Rentmeister.

In the early years, two through trains ran, hauled by A1 series steam locomotives, later known as the kkStB locomotive 92.

Hainfeld became an important transportation hub with around 300 railway employees. In addition to the reception building, the station had a materials shed with a ramp, a boiler house with a turntable, a machine shop, and, until 1931, its own boiler house control room, as well as a siding to the Hainfeld mountain dairy.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Lower Austrian Southwest Railway, the locomotive memorial of locomotive 93.1364 was erected next to the reception building in 1977. This locomotive class was used for light freight and passenger services. In 2004, the line from Weissenbach to Hainfeld was discontinued and the station was rebuilt. Today, the class 5047 railcars operate between Hainfeld and St. Pölten.
